Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL Process Engineer Jobs - Bellingham, WA
The challenge? Helping ensure the world's supply of energy and chemicals. At CH2M HILL, we deliver solutions that span the entire breadth of the energy and chemicals industry. Our Process Engineer position will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting small and mid scale energy and chemical projects in our Bellingham office. Each day you will be an important team member as you participate in the design, coordination, and execution of process engineering projects for our clients. You should be a self motivated, detail oriented professional with 5 or more years of experience in civil structural design work for the energy and chemical sectors.
Our Process Engineer:
* Participate as part of a process design team on various projects
* Exhibit good understanding of applicable industry codes and standard practices as well as fundamental process engineering skills
* Assist with planning and sequencing of process deliverables
* Execute process tasks within Budget and Schedule
* Participate in meetings with the client and project team to establish project objectives and to coordinate and/or resolve design issues
* Complete process engineering studies, reports and calculations. Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs
* Generate process equipment data sheets and specifications
* Generate technical bid tabs to confirm vendor quotations meet technical requirements
* Review of vendor submittal drawings and documents
* Check process deliverables, prior to formal issue
* Will work under the direction of a Senior level Process Discipline Lead Engineer, however, continuous supervision must not be required
* Must be able to effectively interact with all levels of company and client staff in process as well as other disciplines
* Salary commensurate with industry standard and experience level
Basic Qualifications
* BS Degree in Chemical Engineering with from 0 to 5 years experience in engineering “Design" of capital projects in Specialty Chemicals, Polymers, Oil/Gas and/or Pharmaceutical facilities
* EIT desired, but not mandatory
* Desire to concentrate on details. Require a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, including both written and verbal communications
* Willingness for occasional travel
