THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. CLIENT IS SEEKING AN INDIVIDUAL WHO IS MOBILE, VERY AMBITIOUS AND HAS HIGH POTENTIAL. EXPERIENCE IN A COMPLEX MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT PREFERRED. FULL RELOCATION AVAILABLE.
Education and Experience requirements • Education: 4 yrs finance, accounting, or equivalent degree from accredited University or College. • Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: Thorough understanding of IFRS. CPA or CMA preferred. • Language Skills: Fluent English. • Computer Skills: Excellent MS Office Excel, Access, Word, & PowerPoint. Experience as Super-user or equivalent of ERP software in a manufacturing environment, working knowledge of Magnitude (or equivalent). • Related Work Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years performing similar as primary duties & responsibilities (above).
• Decision Making: Given the significant quantity of duties & responsibilities required, meeting deadlines consistently will make the effective planning of assignment of responsibilities. Good judgment coupled with guidance from Controller Lompoc, CA in considering alternatives in making timely decisions will be expected. • Reasoning Ability: Ability to logically, methodically, and expeditiously sort through multiple scenarios and options. Demonstrate ability to quickly adapt thing to situations. • Complexity & Judgment: Detailed analysis are a fundamental requirement for this position requiring experience in analysis, good judgment and confidence to work with others and through others to reach solutions and implement recommendations. • Supervision Received: Will interface to a great extent with the Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain Operations. However, the requirements of this position require someone who is highly motivated and capable of accomplishing assignments with minimal supervision. • Confidential Data: This position will be exposed to confidential information, financial results, product costs and selling prices, customer information, etc. The highest level of integrity is expected and needed for this position. Anything less will be detrimental to the business. • Impact of Errors: Individuals within senior management and throughout the organization will base their action and/or corrective action plans upon the recommendations and suggestions provided by his/her analysis. Therefore, the consequences resulting from misinformation or errors could be substantial although unquantifiable at this time. JOB OVERVIEW
Plant accounting & analysis and direct finance support for the client's site and other operations as assigned, on plant accounting transactions and their impact, financial impacts of operating issues, results & expenditures; direct participation in closings, assisting with evaluating financial results, assist with annual budgeting cycles, & adhoc projects and analysis; participate directly in implementation of new procedures (continuous improvements) and systems used within the operations.
JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS
This position will be responsible for plant accounting & analysis of the operations of the client's site and for other operations as a assigned. The total revenue projected for these operations is approximately $85 million in 2010 with an estimated gross margin of about $18 million. Total estimated tonnage sold by these plants is 115,000 metric tons. The position had no direct budgetary responsibilities, and no supervisory responsibility. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • This position is in charge of plant accounting books’ functions : - responsible for accurate bookkeeping for both companies - account reconciliation against production records (stock variation, royalties, consumable consumption, etc) - Inventory flow analysis • On time closing and reporting to Management - Monthly financial reporting - Quarterly consolidation - Annual hard close in October and Year-End closing - Participation in the Budget process • Process appropriate and accurate Journal Entries in the System (IFS) • Controlling flows coming from Production, A/P & A/R, and cash transactions • Develop and further improve journal entries template in IFS to shorten closing process time • Take an active participatory leadership position in the sites’ efforts to implement new cost, payroll, order processing, and accounting control systems. • Research new reporting techniques and provide specifications for reports and format changes. • Ability to justify the accounts assigned to the auditors (mid and end of year audit) through updated Account Reconciliations • Participate in monthly P&L reviews with the Production and Supply Chain teams • Keep track/understanding cost per process, production ratios, etc: ability to keep the full picture in mind beyond the accounting details and check overall consistency • Assist Controller in External and Internal Audits (as needed) • Assist Controller to develop cost accounting/product costing • Complete other projects as assigned by the Controller (local office), and the NAFM Controller (as needed) • Special projects as they arise involving manufacturing, distribution, and finance, give presentations and actively participate in resolving financial issues arising at the location apply now from here |
