| Overview
Board Certified Physician is responsible for providing and overseeing the provision of quality medical care in compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations and standards of care. Responsible for the medical, organizational, and administrative aspects of the adequacy and quality of care provided to clients at the Primary Care, ADHC and OASAS Program. Responsibilities
• Provide, monitor and coordinate all primary care services for both HIV+ and high risk HIV negative patients. • Coordinate and ensure compliance with AIDS Institute medical protocols for the Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) clients. • Oversee integration of mental health services in primary care. • Care for a panel of primary care patients. • Act as the collaborating physician for Nurse Practitioners within the practice. • Supervise medical staff including NPs, RN, MA, clerical staff and clinic manager. • Participate in the comprehensive care planning meetings when necessary, discharge plan-ning, and interdisciplinary rounds when on site. • Actively participates in the development and facilitation of staff devel¬opment and client education programs at the ADHC. • Ensure that all documentation is entered in the electronic medical chart promptly and that all data is informative and descriptive of the services provided. • Responsible for AIDS Institute HIV Quality Indicator compliance and review. • Participate in monthly Senior Staff meetings and initiatives. • Supports and participates in advocacy efforts to end the twin crises of homelessness and AIDS. • Report to the Executive Director • Other duties as assigned by Housing Works Chief Medical Officer. Qualifications
• Current New York State medical license. • Board Certified or eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine • Demon¬strated expertise in HIV/AIDS care. Apply
